Hey everyone! I have Wicked icons over at my icons journal, and I have a lot of Disney stuff. Cinderella and Peter Pan were books before Disney got to them, right? :)

Technically, Peter Pan was a play, but it's still written word and close enough. ^-~

Peter Pan was based on a book, though.

No, actually. J. M. Barrie wrote the play in 1904, and later converted it into the book Peter and Wendy in 1911. It was a play first.

Yes, I know. However, the play was based on a different book with a different name.

What book? By J. M. Barrie, or are you telling me he plagiarized?
This isn't something I know off the top of my head, but I didn't see any information like that when I checked before. Am I looking in the wrong places?

By him. I don't think he published it, actually, but I remember reading about it in a "Childcare through the ages" text that was insanely well-researched, which went on and on about how "the original version had Peter Pan having not even been born" and all. I'll look it up when I get home, and sorry for the slow reply.
