Callahan's Place

These are based on stories & books by one of my favorite authors, Spider Robinson. Here is what he says about them:

"Callahan's Place, the now-vanished tavern in Suffolk County, New York, owned and operated by Michael Callahan (a.k.a. Justin of Harmony), was an unusual establishment in many respects."

Among those who have entered the establishment (as well as Lady Sally's House, Mary's Place, and The Place) are aliens, cyborgs, transvestites, talking dogs, telepaths, time travelers, and even an Intergalactic Traveling Salesman. The first thing you notice when walking is how merry the place is. I think there are 8 or 9 books and I can't recommend them highly enough. If you are a paronomasiac, you'll love the place! Oh and Robinson has been called "the next Heinlein" by his peers - he's that good.
