Okay, so I've never posted here before--or anywhere, actually, with my icons, but I hope y'all will like them well enough... A few of the text icons are not directly book related, but are such awesome quotes that I decided to include them anyway.
#1 uses a quote by Jane Austen
The base for #2 is from [info]roxicons , who makes awesome icons, BTW.
Base for #3 and 4 is from [info]sardistri , who kindly shares many beautiful bases with the rest of us. The quote is by Lewis Carroll.
#5 uses a Phillip Pullman quote, and was a request for my dear friendarrows_for_pens .
#6 is a reference to a character from Pamela Dean's Secret County trilogy.
#9 uses a base by lore_85, and is a tribute to China MiƩville's fabulous book, Un Lun Dun.
#s 7, 8, 10, and 11 use bases byspookysource
(#7 uses a Jane Austen quote & #8 uses a William Shakespeare quote. #s 10 & 11 were a request by arrows_for_pens, and the quote is from a dialogue between the fifth doctor and the tenth in the Doctor Who short "Time Crash".)
#12 uses a base by lore_85 and a quote by Marianne Williamson.
#13 uses a base by icon_goddess and a quote by Faith Whittlesey. (Unfortunately I couldn't get the name to fit on the icon as well...)
#14 uses a stock photo from the same website that supplied the photo for #6, but I'm darned to heck if I can remember what it is. Sorry! And the quote is by Hans Christian Anderson.
Finally, #15 uses a base/texture by elanordh and a quote by Carl Sagan.
I'd love to hear what you think, so please comment! (If you don't, I completely understand--I'm a terrible lurker myself.)
Oh, and totally feel free to steal any of them if so desired. Credit would be cool, but I really don't care that much. :D

As you may have noticed, I rather like the e.e. cummings icon you made me. :D

A note though, a few of them are a bit of a strain on the eyes to read because of color choices...

(Yes! Un Lun Dun is awesome! I'm so glad someone else has read it!)
Anyway. Thanks for commenting!

I loved Un Lun Dun!I guess people kept trying to get me to read it for a reason. Heh.
And no problem. They're rather good quotes, and I hope to see more. :3
