this is an awesome idea for a community.. i love icons (can't make them very well, but sometimes i have good ideas for ones..) and i love books. perfect combination!

i came here through the tortall community, as i'm sure many of us have..

a few ideas, since the community is just starting: why not add to the interest page well known books/authors? (lotr/tolkien, tamora pierce, harry potter... etc etc) It'll bring more people here if you have more interests :)

As for a journal icon.. mhari had a really cool one on their site that said something like "My Fandom is public domain" ... kind of works, doesn't it?

It could, it could at that. I don't know where everyone comes from, I searched up "books" and semi-spammed in the communities I felt were worth joining anyway. That is, I posted real messages and appended "join my comm" after them. I'm horrible.

I did consider adding specific books and authors, I'll actually make a post about that in a sec, but I didn't want to neglect anyone. The best way is probably to ask for suggestions.
