We have a copy of The Silver Metal Lover in our English Society room. It has a picture on the cover that essentially amounts to a shiney Schwarzenegger wearing a curly Red-head wig and sniffing a rose. After that none of us could take it seriously enough to read.

Don't pay too much attention to the cover! It's really a wonderful read - YA but not fluffy, 80s SF but not too dated.

*faints* Deerskin icons! Squee!!! I'm taking all four of them, and I'm conpletely in love with #3, the quote used is one of my favourites from the book. ^_^ Very nicely done!

Not taking any right now, but I just wanted to comment on how much I love all three authors. I especially like #1 and #2, though I wasn't quite so keen on Deerskin; the cover art is beautiful though. I haven't read or heard of The Silver Metal Lover by Tanith Lee before--I'll have to go check it out.
