It's almost impossible to find caps, actually...if you find good quality ones, I'm happy to make more but most of them are dodgy quality really.

I like the idea, and I think you've got a good idea of how space and text work with a picture. Sometimes more random fonts work better on icons, your standard set isn't always pretty enough. =]

Also, it depends on what image editing programme you're using - Paint tends to puke all over images as it saves them. In a metaphorical sense. But it has a pixellated kind of effect, you can generally pick icons made in Paint.

yeah...I use serif photoplus, which is nice. this was just weird because i usually make my own bases and have an idea of what text i want already, so fitting something to someone else's base was new.

Yeah, I use Corel Photo-Paint...it ain't easy.
And I know what you mean about bases, sometimes [like with la_reveur's bases] they work so well plain that you don't/can't mess with them...
