[identity profile] theflyingace.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] book_icons
well, i posted these icons on [livejournal.com profile] orsonscottcard and [livejournal.com profile] enderish a little while ago and [livejournal.com profile] conuly saw them and suggested i post them in here. so i finally decided to overcome my laziness and post them. they're all icons of books that orson scott card has written. credit and comment to let me know which one you want, if you do. number 7 has a solid background whereas number 8 has a transparent background. it can go over any background, including black.

taking 5,7, and 12 for possible future use. i'll credit when/if i use them. but these are great! i've read some of them (all the ender books, old and new, the homecoming series, enchantment, some of the alvin maker books), and heard of most, but was wondering if you could tell me about "robota" and "treason"?

I've actually only read like half a book by OS Card, but my brother has read quite a few. If you don't mind my emailing him the dragon, I've got it. And will use it here & at GJ. and will credit. :D

Thanks. :D

BTW, what's the difference between 7. & 8.? Does one have a transparent background?

That's exactly it, number 8 is transparent. You know how you highlight text? If you highlight the images, it's easy to see which ones are transparent... the clear parts turn darker than they would if they lacked transparency.

Okie-dokie! You learn something new every day. Well, I'm going to snag #8, too. These icons are so cool, I may read the books someday. :D Thanks, conuly and theflyingace.

Not to be too picky but wasn't it "The Enemy's gate is down"? And Speaker is Speaker FOR the Dead, not of the dead. He speaks for them:)

Great icons, though. So good to see these and very well done!

These are wonderful! I am surprised though, to not see Hart's Hope. That is still my favorite of Card's books. But I am snagging a couple of these, esp. Songmaster... Thanks!
