Anyone?

If at all possible, can anyone make an icon for me from the book "Harlequin and the Gift of Many Colors," by Remy Charlip? Thanks to the help of some readers I got the title of this picture book, but I can't seem to find images from it anywhere online. Thank you for your time!

Perhaps someone here can help me, you all being fans of books, I presume.
I have just come back from Venice, and the streets were lined with Venetian masks. It brought back memories of a children's picture book I used to have. Although I can't remember the story clearly, the pictures were full of masked characters going to Carnevale, and the main character was Harlequin, I do believe.
I know this is vagye, but does anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

While I certainly support discussion, I would like it if posts related to icons. Maybe you could edit your post to say "and I'd really like an icon based on it, if anybody could make one" or something along those lines? If you aren't interested in such an icon, I could direct you to other, related communities.

Nah, it's not that big a deal. Not ONE post, anyway. I'm just thinking to the future, where we might get more than one. If you could edit your post, I'd be thrilled.

Thankies. I'm a little obsessive sometimes. My apologies.

Ooooo!
...No, actually, but I can't wait to find out what the book was...! Exciting.
*slinks away into the shadows to watch for a comment featuring the requested title of the elusive book*

I think it was, in fact, called "Harlequin". And it did have fantastic illustrations. I forget who it's by, though.

Okay. So I did some research at Amazon.com and came up with two possible results. The book you are looking for may be "Harlequin and the Green Dress" by Laura Fischetto and Letizia Galli, or "Harlequin and the Gift of Many Colours" by Remy Charlip.
Both are currently out-of print :\ but both can be bought used from Amazon.com.
I hope this helps, and I hope you find what you are looking for.
Good luck!

"Harlequin and the Gift of Many Colours" was, like, one of my favourite books when I was a kid. I am so going to try to find it again! I am in debt to the poster of dredging it up from my primal memories into the spotlight.

I can't resist a challenge like this. :-)

I managed to find one (rather poor quality) image of the cover (http://www.thearbiters.com/Arts/Literature/Childrens/litchildstry.htm), and made you a base icon out of it.

Sorry it wasn't any better, but maybe someone else will dig up more.
