Date: 2004-08-23 06:46 am (UTC)But on the brighter side, I don't _like_ quiche, so i didn't do it on purpose. XD (Also, I didn't see your quiche before I made this one. Um, yeah.)
*grins* it's from The Globe. Such a good quote, but it was kinda tough to icon sensibly. So it may not actually _be_ sensible. it's quarter to two here, I have lost all ability to tell. :p
:D Thanks!!!

Date: 2004-08-23 06:52 am (UTC)Yeah, me neither. 'Cept the image I chose looks like pizza, whereas your image actually looks...quiche-ish. >D And well, I really couldn't care less whether you made it before or after mine. SH'COOL ALL THE SAME! >D
In the morning? ROCK ON.
Noooooo problemo-o-o-o-o! <--echo sound

Date: 2004-08-23 06:58 am (UTC)*grins* Quiche. it's just so... eggy. it looks a lot like my mother's friend's quiche, actually... all sort of decorated and colourful. o.O
yes. w00t. New Zealand Aotearoa all the way! (I'm even being constructive, engaging in debates* and starting Crusades. woo.)
*Er, pretty one-sided debates. It's probably more of a group whinge at

Date: 2004-08-23 07:28 am (UTC)I don't think I like quiche. Or if I do, I don't remember it. >D
New Zealand! Too cool. My friend's cousin lives in New Zealand. And another friend just got back from New Zealand. I'm just in the ol' US of A, being (un)constructive, engaging in debates(with my dad and sister), and starting (to get sleepy). >D WOOOOOO.

Date: 2004-08-23 07:38 am (UTC)I don't. It's all.. squishy. And bland and... well, it has cooked tomatoes on top too. >.<
yes, we are super-cool. We rock. *waves flag* Heh, the US of A ain't too bad, it did give us...
...uhm...
... I'll get back to you.
(joking... joking...)
No, it gave us new york and lots of scientists and Some of My Best Friends Are American. truly.

Date: 2004-08-23 07:48 am (UTC)>D Neh, I don't care. Not to say I don't support the US, it's just that I don't really care. (Now, see, if you insulted China or Taiwan, or something, you'd get your butt kicked. ...I have no idea how that works out. >D)

Date: 2004-08-23 08:00 am (UTC)eeeeueeeewwww no.
Taiwan? I love Taiwan! I've never been there! But one of my best friends is from there, and she's the sweetest person EVAH, so I figure hey, if she's anything like representative, it must be the awesomest country. XD

Date: 2004-08-23 08:03 am (UTC)OMG I LOVE TAIWAN TOOOO! ...of course, I'm biased, so eh. >D Really? That's so cool. I want to go to New Zealand! I feel so...American. Not that that's bad, but I haven't been outside this country for like what, two years? Depressing. :( One day I'm totally going to China. EEEE!
no subject
Date: 2004-08-23 08:12 am (UTC):D I want to go there too- probably no for long, though. And I want to go to America again; I was there for two weeks earlier this year for school (i've had such a well-travelled year; Sydney, NYC, Washington, Christchurch. Spot the odd one out...) but I would have loved to spend some mroe time there. Especially New York. Wow.

Date: 2004-08-23 08:27 am (UTC)Yeah. I'm slightly scared of China, it being, yanno, the place where my great-grandparents died and all. In my mind I keep seeing pictures of tiny house and stuff. And then I have to go, "THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY, DOPE." (It is, right?) Anyway, my brain is permanently stuck in this time-warp that says China is still a backwards hovel. >D
...I want to go to Sydney. *gape* And I went to New York once, on a tour with this Taiwanese choir. I was in a bus, and we passed two feet from The Lion King: Broadway Musical and I nearly cried because we couldn't go see it. >D And some of its people creep me out. This one homeless guy followed a girl for four blocks. Was kinda scary. O_o

Date: 2004-08-23 08:48 am (UTC)Personally, it's not my great-grandparents, because they were, well, Scottish and English; it's Chinese Cinderella and Fallen Leaves and Red China Blues. But I can assure you that it is indeed the 21st century. ;)
OMG the Lion King was on when we were there too, IIRC... but we couldn't get tickets. So we went to 42nd Street instead (and, OMG! So good!) You know, I didn't notice a single homeless person? *feels slightly creeped out by this* It's not like we have any in Wngtn for me to get used to... o.O

Date: 2004-08-23 08:59 am (UTC)YAY! 21st century it is! My mind can be put at ease! :)
Really? We were out at night though, so maybe it was easier to notice them? I don't know. (Also, the guy told us that they lived on the church steps, so yeah. >) )

Date: 2004-08-23 09:05 am (UTC)those are good books. But, you know, they don't tell very nice stories about China.

Date: 2004-08-23 09:10 am (UTC)I can see what you mean. Yeah. It's very rare that I can find a book that does. :(

Date: 2004-08-23 08:20 am (UTC)If you tell me about what page the quote from The Little Prince is from, I could try to find it in my English edition . . . And I've been told it is a very good translation by persons whose opinions I trust, so.

Date: 2004-08-23 08:24 am (UTC)Oh, god, i have no idea... but i can tell you it's in chapter 21 or close to it. it's a long chapter, full of dialogue with the fox; probably within the firsttwo or three pages of that chapter?
That would be super-helpful, I must say! :D
