I'm not sure if I'm allowed to make requests here, so just shout at me if I can't...
Would anyone famililar with Alan Garner be able to make me an icon saying 'drink if this and take thy fill, for the water falls by the wizard's will'. I've been trying to find a picture online of the actual inscription at Alderly Edge, but no luck.

Date: 2004-08-24 11:46 pm (UTC)It was a lot of text to include, and I wasn't sure you'd want it animated. Anyway, the image is of the actual carved wizard's face at Alderley Edge. The original is here (http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=8086). A nice page about Alan Garner and Alderley Edge (http://www.daharja.net/alangarner.htm) has pictures of the inscription, but I don't think it could be worked into an icon -- it's just way too worn and blurry and dark.
Thanks for reminding me of Alan Garner! I learned a lot about him I didn't know from this request of yours. Now I must get to the library and take out Moon of Gomrath. :-)
