Oh fruce, your icons are my favourite out of them all. I love these. Great book choice, too! I'm going to save 2-4 and probably 8, even though it is nightmarish, or maybe because of that.
Yeah -- but I think you sent them to me already. In fact, I am positive you did, because I've got this icon from the batch. So. Um. Problem solved? Thanks, by the way.
I don't know. All of the kids that I know are horribly morbid little creatures. Even if they are creeped out, they tend to LIKE it. In retrospect, I suppose I was the same way. The original fairy tales, where everyone suffered gruesome fates, were my favourites, and I was a huge fan of darker kids books. But normal things would freak me out totally. I think I have actually grown into more of a whimp as I've aged. Alas.
Kids are also not frightened by Mr. Gaiman's "Wolves in the Walls." Have you read that one, Fruce? Ever thought of making icons based on it? *looks hopeful*
I have read that one, and actually owned it for a period of about 24 hours. It's so wonderful. If I can get my hands on a copy of it, I'll go make icons of it.
Well, I happen to be, well, a kid--and I didn't find "The Wolves in the Walls" scary at all, just fun in a weird, "ooh-shiny-photo" sort of way. Coraline didn't scare me so much as fascinate me.
I'm not taking any of these, but I just wanted to say that you make beautiful icons! I love this one here that I commented for a while back. Just lovely.
That book is absolutely wonderful. And creepy. And everything. I have it as a book on tape (with Neil Gaiman reading!) and when the rats started singing, I literally screamed.
This book scared the crap out of me! I'm obviously too old for it. I love these icons -- very good use of McKean's art. I've taken #2 and #8, will credit, of course :)
YES!!! I had typed in "Coraline icons" in the quotes on Google and had seen that book_icons had them. Am going to take all of them and am going to use them on GreatestJournal. Will most definitely credit. "Coraline" is one of my favorite books, and I'm going to have to read it again. That was a creepy book and I loved it. *adds this post to her Memories* :D
This book has been on my -to read...for a while now, and these pictures make me want to read it sooo.... Im going ot snagg quite a few pics if I may, with credit of course.

Date: 2004-08-24 11:31 pm (UTC)I have a secret fondness for 8, too. It's so.. out there that you have to give it recognition, or whatever.
