Question: does anyone know the author/title of the childrens' book about the janitor-man and the birds?
My, is that ever an interesting question! It's not one of those old-old classics from times before I was young, but I think it came out when I was on the far end of my childhood. I'd say it's around ten years old, or so. Sorry I'm being vague with this question--all I have in my head are some vague ideas of what some of the pictures were myself. But it was a colourfully and beautifully illustrated book about a man and a lot of colourful birds coming into his life, and I think they took him to an island...and maybe he began to turn into a bird himsellf...I just don't remember very well.

And as for relating this to the icon-world, I would love it if people made icons about this book...! And once I learn the author and title and get more information, I may make some myself...
Meanwhile, it's really been niggling me...! Put some thought and research into it, if you would please, and let me know.

The book is called "Hey, Al" by Arthur Yorinks. It is truly great. ;)

My first thought was Wizard of Pidgeons, though from the comments I can see that's not it. If you liked the former though you might like the latter. :)
