I've been teaching my kids how to make icons and we chose the art of Fiep
Westendorp who worked together with Holland's greatest author of children's
books: Annie M.G. Schmidt. Hope you'll enjoy. Credit goes to my children.

More Fiep-icons at my journal.

I made 42 icons of Jackie Morris's art, most of them from a look-and-find book called Can You See a Little Bear?. (...what can I say? I just liked it so much I actually bought it for myself. So sue me. XD)

(Can you see the little icons at my LJ...)

EDIT: EDIT: I was wrong, as anyone who's seen the originals knows, these aren't Tenniel, they're Barry Moser. That'll teach me to scan things without looking at what they are.

Sir John Tenniel's original illustrations to "Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There," from the Pennyroyal Alice. Eight icons, from chapters I and II (Looking-Glass House and The Garden of Live Flowers.) Want, take, have; credit is nice but not absolutely necessary.

This is my first posting here and I have some very special icons to share. I'm an only child and when I was little my Dad LOVED gorgeous children's books. I've raided my own and my son's shelves to share a few icons from them with you. You likely will not have heard of some or all of these. I will post more in the future (when I can find the copy of "Rain Makes Applesauce")

(6)Children's Books:
"Three Princess' in the Blue Mountains" - Kay Nielsen
"Arm in Arm" - Remy Charlip
"Rat's Magic" - Wayne Anderson
"Scroobious Pip" - E. Lear
